Kafka Summit 2018 Dates and Locations Announced

World’s largest Apache Kafka__® event returns in 2018 and launches in London

SAN FRANCISCO – August 29, 2017 (Kafka Summit SF) – Confluent, provider of the leading streaming platform based on Apache Kafka®, today announced Kafka Summit will be returning with two events in 2018. The event will launch internationally in London, England in April 2018 and return to San Francisco, California for a larger, two-day event in October 2018.

Kafka Summit is the premier streaming systems event for data engineers and developers and brings the Apache Kafka community together to share best practices, write code and discuss the future of streaming technologies. The conference further supports the growing Apache Kafka community and will share the latest in stream processing and real-time data pipelines. The event is also surrounded with training courses.

“Over the last few years the Kafka Summit events have been a great way to bring the community together to discuss new ideas and share use cases. We’ve seen amazing talks from companies of all sizes, including ING Bank, Uber, Pinterest, Nordea Bank, Target, and many more,” said Jay Kreps, co-creator of Apache Kafka and co-founder and CEO at Confluent. “We’re excited to extend the event internationally next year by bringing Kafka Summit to Europe.”

Kafka Summit London: taking place April 23 – 24, 2018 at Park Plaza Victoria London.

Kafka Summit San Francisco: taking place October 16 – 17, 2018 at Pier 27.
